Maya is a Legal Assistant and Paralegal. She supports our Practice Manager, Terrie O’Connor, and our team of lawyers.

Maya was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in July 2026. She holds an LLM in Bar Vocational Studies with a specialism in Advanced Criminal Practice. Her master’s thesis, “Achieving Justice in RASSO Cases: Is the Criminal Justice System failing the most vulnerable? An examination of pre-recorded evidence provisions”, looked at how the system supports complainants in rape and serious sexual offence cases. She also graduated from the University of Kent with a First in European Legal Studies (LLB).

Maya has a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable people. She has volunteered with SATEDA and the Witness Service, helping victims of domestic abuse through criminal and family court proceedings. She has also coached students in advocacy on the University of Kent’s Mock Trial Advocacy Module.
