Led by Raymond Shaw, the firm’s fraud department acts for an alleged conspirator in the Serious Fraud Office’s investigation into the mining and commodities giant Glencore, where a number of individuals face bribery charges relating to oil contracts obtained in West Africa.

 Shaw Graham Kersh represents a security guard who is one of four defendants accused of involvement in a high-profile alleged robbery concerning members of an internationally famous family.

 Its lawyers have been granted permission to appeal the conviction and sentence of a vulnerable young woman with a history of trauma and mental illness who was found guilty of murder. She was sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment, but the firm argues that the trial judge did not allow the jury to consider loss of control as a defence, despite psychiatric, psychological and toxicological evidence to support this.
